I have read the boundary commission recommendations- I think they are that part of Newhaven, as well as Uckfield, will join the Lewes constituency. Does anyone know- will this be the case if the next general election is held in 2015? What effect might the changes have on the vote? (Is Uckfield conservative and Newhaven labour?)

Boundary changes are dead in the water at least for now and the current boundaries are the ones which will apply in 2015.
Newhaven is mostly Lib Dem with one UKIP county council seat; Uckfield is mostly Conservative but does have a strong Lib Dem presence, with a very close result last time between Lib Dems and Tories.
