So that's less than 3% of the population of Lewes District 100,693 (2015)
Is that enough to base a decision on when the majority had no idea what this was about?

the plan solely relates to Lewes. It is nothing to do with anywhere else in Lewes district. The turnout was 24.83% and the 92% vote in favour suggests a very strong level of support. The turnout was actually high for a Neighbourhood Plan Referendum, as turnout generally is in Lewes.

Most of those coffin dodgers who voted yes are only going to need a wooden overcoat and a burial plot.

Why on earth has anyone downvoted Graham Mayhew?
Everything he said is true, Lewes neighbourhood plan is solely for Lewes. All the other local towns have there own neighbourhood plan and was accepted some years ago. Time for Lewes to evolve

In any election, the result should be based on those who bother to vote. The percentage turnout of those eligible to vote should be irrelevant. Dave states that less than 3% of Lewes district bothered.
So, let's go with the democratic decision of those who voted.

Drift Away: Apologies to Newhaven! They are now ahead of Seaford in the process, but both still have to get through the tricky bit: the Examination.
Peacehaven and Telscombe may have registered as a Neighbourhood area five years ago, but what have they done since? A very long way to go!
