Thank you to everyone who was involved in organising and setting up this event, probably one of the best weekends i've ever had.

Well Hester, you obviously a very sad little man with nothing better to do than sit behind you keyboard and trolling and watching porn. Maybe you need to get out a bit more. LewesLive was a great event. Kids loved it and the music and beer was spot on. For £40 it was great value for money.

Crikey, you're sharp today Hester. I rekon that a couple of thousand people, 2 days and £40 for the weekend isn't Glastonbuy either, nor would anyone want it to be.
What do you think Heston?

By the way, just because I disagree with your view of the music does not make me a troll.

I couldn't make Lewes Live due to other things going on, but hope it was a success. We had a polite info note through our door in advance. Music was off at a sensible time. Minimal mess. No problems that I heard of. Well done the organisers. Hope we can come next year

Hester, your post indicates that you didn't even go, despite trying to belittle someone who enjoyed this event. As someone has said before why do people who don't like something feel the need to insult someone who does?

Are you asking whether Komedia is any good Mr Newman? It is excellent. A nice location in the Lanes. Have a couple of jars at the Mash Tun (or similar) for pre-gig lubrication. A great venue - just the right size. You could even explain to the barstaff why the dimensions of your left little toe demonstrate the need for urgent reductions in government spending between sets.

I also do a comic swan dive to the left I have called “ The Corbyn” goes down very well at the ” End of the Party”

@ Paul Newman are you sure the Corbyn doesn't signal the complete finish of the party when everyone can't wait to get out

Are you having a mid-life crisis Paul ? Or has your body been hijacked by aliens ? You wouldn't find many original northern soul kids voting Tory.

No Belladonna the all voted Labour.... this was the time when Labour represented the working class and to a degree had working class people in the party like Hattersley, Blunkett (Good Sheffield Boys) and 2 Jaggs., not the smug let me tell you whats good for you Middle class that have taken it over.
Now the working classes vote UKip or Tory.

For any doubters LewesLive was a great event. Something for everyone. There were bands I didn't like but many I did. Atmosphere was great, beer was great, weather was great. Apparently there was no trouble, and everyone had a great time. Where else could you get all this for only £40! In my opinion it's far to cheap...

Hi all,
As a Lewes resident and one of the performers at Lewes Live this year, I have to say that it was a pleasure and an honour. The organisation from top to bottom was exemplary and the atmosphere more relaxed and friendly than I hoped to imagine. As a seasoned festival goer to, it was was bereft of the normal hinderances: poor food, poor sanitation and drug-fuelled fools giving people a hard time.
The bands too were all excellent and the sound engineer, Mark, did a sterling job ensuring everyone sounded their best. For a small-scale festival that relied on a collective responsibility to set-up and organise, I think you would struggle to find anything so good. And on your own doorstep too! What an absolute treat.
Well done all!
regards
Ben
