The boys got an excellent draw at Hampton and Richmond Borough yesterday in the FA Trophy. The replay will be at The Pan on Wednesday @ 7.45pm and should be a cracker. It's all valuable income too.

Admire you Rookie, and can appreciate one who struggles to keep his local club alive; viewed a number of your posts. I'm only an occasional visitor to Lewes so can't help you, but can you tell me what sort of gates do you attract to home games?

wonder if there's any mileage in getting the notorious Cliffe TubThumpers down to rouse the terraces?

Dangerous idea Loppy... don't wanna upset our local footie team as well, surely the thumpers have caused enough ruck with the carol singers and local Scrooges er sorry I mean christmas traditionalists!! BUT count me in.. hee hee!

Yeah, bring the tub thumpers. That way, we can be a laughing stock on and off the pitch!

Thank you Shaymus. I prefer local non-league football played by real enthusiastic local lads to the corrupt, cheat ridden game played by obscenely overpaid primadonnas in the professional leagues. Lewes could go under due to a debt which is roughly equivalent to two days of a premiership players wages. How can that be right? Just last week Kings Lynn Fc were liquidated after 120 years of history for a similar sum, leaving their 1000+ supporters devastated. We don't want that to happen here, and a few of us are trying to make sure it doesn't. We only get about 400 so it's an uphill struggle. Wednesday will probably only attract 200 as there is no publicity anywhere due to it being a hastily arranged replay. So if my post encourages just one more person to pop along and watch the game and sample the Harveys then it's been worthwhile.

they cant afford to lower them, they need to get as much money in as possible. As you say the standard is not good have you seen them or just what you read in the express?

£10 for an adult is the going rate for the league they are in. It is more expensive at several other grounds that I have visited this season. Plus, Lewes let in under 14's for FREE. I haven't seen that anywhere else. It might not be world class standard but it sure is entertaining.

Wednesday could be very good value. I have a feeling it could be extra-time and maybe even a penalty shoot-out.
