Try North Street. I believe they are taking on new patients. If not try the one on School Hill

The one on School Hill does take new patients, but oblige you to wait three months for an appointment. Unsurprisingly, if you opt to go private you can have an appointment immediately...
East Sussex NHS has a link to dentists accepting new patients - I've posted the link.

Check it out here »

Don't want to over-dramatise my situation, or get into libellous territory, but I have recently been told that I need work that will cost into 4 figures and I'm not sure that I trust them, so I need a second opinion at the very least.
Many thanks for the links and advice - has anyone been to any of these places with a difficult diagnosis and had it all sorted out please?

Hi, Mr Toothache, I was told by one Lewes dentist that I had to have immediate work running into £1000's. had a second opinion from North Street and they were shocked and said nothing wrong, come back in 12 months

I went for second opinion after same type of thing
Charged me 45 for private but spent ages with me going through lots of different options
Showed me X-rays and photos he took on a screen
Was reccomended him by friend in similar position who found him to be accurate and likeable and so did I

Agree with the above.
Saw Steven kell after similar experience.
Generally was happy with him. Explained it all so I could understand then just did the treatment as he said.
I got the feeling I was not the only one he had seen after huge quote from someone else.
He offered me nhs but it would not have been with him. They teach dentistry and I would be with the student. To be fair I am sure it would still have been good.
His price was. It too high though so opted to stay with him.
Glad I have moved to the surgery above monsoon.

My reply should say price not too high.
He was quite reasonable I thought for the time he spent.
