There is at least one planning application submitted for permission to covert a traditional poster billboard into an illuminated / digital screen. The one I've seen is opposite the Elly.
Hard to think of a more inappropriate idea for a conservation area where shops aren't allowed backlit signage, and house owners can't even paint their front door any colour of their choice.
Will the Council make the obviously correct decision to refuse this blatant attempt to ignore the context of outdoor advertising?

Don't worry, XR always vandalize that one so it won't be worth the risk.

But do the owners of it, possibly a venture capital fund in the Cayman Islands owned by a shell trust from Utovia registered in Outer Mongolia under the auspices of the descendants of the decreer of a certain pleasure dome..... know?

Do XR members scrawl graffiti over the front of their own houses, I wonder?
