A smashed up Mercedes on Eridge Green, two ambulances, a dozen coppers, and a well known Lewes 'character' leaving the scene at high speed. Mmmmm.

Man stabbed after car rammed off road

Police arrested two men
Previous PreviousNext Next View GalleryADVERTISEMENT A MAN was stabbed after a car was rammed off the road.
The trouble started at 4pm yesterday (Tuesday) on the Landport Estate, Lewes, when a car chase through the estate ended with a car ramming into another near Eridge Green.
A violent and bloody fight then broke out in the street.
Police have arrested two men and it is believed at least one other person was involved.
The two men were taken to hospital, one with multiple stab wounds.
Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
They are still receiving treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Eastbourne District General Hospital.

I think you will find that iggle piggle was merely stating what has been heard by many people. Being a Lewes person Oggie may have been recognised or his name better remembered as the news is passed round, I dont think anyone has mentioned facts or apportioned blame.
