Does the anti Semitism alleged against Corbyn and others in the labour party amount to anything more than being Pro Palestine in some way? Is any support for Palestine to any extent, automatically seen as being anti Semitic?

I think you might have hit the nail on the head, Nev. It's also possible that the slur is completely disingenuous and has nothing to do with racial prejudice whatsoever, but is just a ruse to stifle any dissent to Tory domestic politics.

The day Boris should have been at the Climate debate on TV, he went to the unveiling of a statue to Nancy Astor, a noted anti-semite. The fact that this was almost entirely unreported nationally convinced me that the whole Labour anti-semitism thing was not honest. The right wing establishment may or or may not be generally antisemitic, but it certainly doesn't give a fig about antisemitism and it is hypocritical to its very core.

That C word again, Nanny would have made me wash my mouth with soap and water. To which theory do you refer?
Much as I dislike Mr. Toad I really can't blame him from not attending a "climate debate". Like most locals, I enjoy moaning about the weather but a serious debate? on something so fickle? when there's death, well, a bit of a runny nose in nearly all cases, to be considered in Black Death Britain where the Grim Reaper lurks in every breath you take, at least for one in every hundred thousand people over the average age of mortality. Ever felt you're being taken for a ride?

What conspiracy are you talking about hyena? It could be that calling something a conspiracy is just a way to diminish other people's points. Incidentally, I would just like to point out that despite Tom's enthusiasm, I haven't actually raised any points. I was genuinely trying to find out what was meant by the term anti Semitic. Lady Astor has many achievements. Does unveiling a statue to her make someone anti Semitic? What did she do or say that makes it an appropriate label for her anyway? Or Corbyn?

Anti-Semite used to mean somebody who disliked jews, now it means someone showing insubordination to unelected powers.

'Is any support for Palestine to any extent, automatically seen as being anti Semitic?' - Yes.
A further point is that anyone categorised by the media as being 'left wing' will also be denounced as anti-Semitic just to make sure nobody gets any ideas about agreeing with them.

The idea that Jeremy was a Jew hater emerged shortly after Pritti Patel's "unauthorised" trip to Israel.
