I have recently moved down from Scotland where I have serval businesses, but have moved to Lewes for personal reasons.
I am looking for a retail shop on Cliffe High Street or The main High street (School Hill) to start my new business.
If you know of any shops coming available or you're thinking of putting your shop on the market, please contact me.
I am interested at looking at everything.
07850123618 or email me at [email protected]
Thanks, George.

I wouldn't open in Cliffe as it is already over-saturated with antique shops. Have you thought about opening top end of the High Street by the 15th Century bookshop? You'll get more footfall just because you won't have much competition for what you sell. In Cliffe you'll just be yet another of many.

Judging by the over priced tat in Lady Mores knicker drawers the very very top end of the High Street, maybe even so far as Brighton might be more appropriate.

Thank you for the advise, but it wouldn't be an antique shop I will be opening. Lady Kentmores is just one of several businesses I run in Scotland, all of which are very different from one and other.
I love Cliffe high street as it has a great vibe and is full of life.
Both School Hill and Cliffe have a fantastic footfall. My search will continue! GJ

I don't see why you would join this thread if you what you have to say is neither helpful or respectful. I am an honest and hardworking individual, just trying to get by and grow a business in my new home town. GJ

There's a newly renovated retail space which hasn't been taken up yet on School Hill, with Oakleys possibly?

Thanks Alex, I have looked at it but the space is too large for an independent shop- this space would only suit a chain unfortunately... GJ

There's the old shop opposite what used to be Kasbah. Recently been cleaned out and is owned by the people at the 15th century bookstore.
Other than that have you contacted the local chamber of commerce ?

GJ, Cliffe mall probably refers to the Antiques Centre. What about the Octave shop that's just closed bottom of School Hill? It's being sold with residential upstairs but you could rent that out for a decent sum.

Hi George, welcome to Lewes.
What is it that your business sell? Maybe knowing this will be key to knowing where you would be best suited. You could try the Old Needle Makers or Riverside. Both these have a variety of businesses and are easy to get to
