Did anyone else see the story in the Sussex Express on Friday? That Lewes District Council is being sued for £12m by a property developer over a scheme that went wrong. That would be a chunk of the council's budget if it goes against them. Do we need to be worried?

Can we sue LDC for incompetence too ? Highest council tax and least brains ? When voting for local councillors do we consider their commercial business backgrounds or just think their a nice 'wooley' person ?

If the council stops a procurement it is usual for bidders to claim their costs. However you can bet this wasn't straightforward. The restrictions should have been out in the open from the start.
