I think it is safe to say that the Labour Party (who are relying on bitter ex Lib Dems to save them), really really don`t like Norman. I have a bit of a soft spot for him myself, (political buffoon of course but … has helped a few folk over the years)
An article I would like to link to but cannot ( Webbo ! ) by Diana Johnson ( Shadow Home Office ),appeared in New Statesman’s Blog today and covers the main accusations. I have summarized them as follows :
1 He didn't resign when the coalition decided to cut taxes for millionaires or over tuition fees
2 He support (ed) the Bedroom Tax.
3 He boasted about his work on animal testing, which was actually a document that dropped the Government’s commitment to reduce the number of experiments
6 He claimed to have done work to combat Female Genital Mutilation but most of the changes are Labour proposals the Government were forced to adopt in the Lords.
7 As minister responsible for violence against women and girls ….after more than a year in office Baker cannot point to one achievement ….
8 The Liberal Democrats have stood shoulder to shoulder with the Tories,…blah blah blah big meanies ….blah blah
Personally I`m not sure this sort of hysterical sanctimony is going to do Norm any harm. What do you think? Can he hang on?
The article I cannot link to is called’ No matter how many Lib Dems try to distance themselves from government, voters won’t be fooled’

I'm really not sure what you're saying, Sword. Are you saying that the Lib Dems aren't in coalition with the Tories and that Baker didn't consistently vote with the government? I think he's a decent man too, but he will be dragged down with his party.

Not saying anything really just thought people might find the views of the Labour Party interesting.
He did consistently vote with the government as you would expect and my personal view this sort of stuff is a bit silly.
