Hello, I'm wondering if there is a knit/crochet community in Lewes?
Would love to spend some time with people maybe learning a thing or two or working on a project together, perhaps for a charitable or community cause.
If there isn't one, would there be any interest from people in getting something started up?
Thanks!

Of course. I should have known. Crochet has its own community now. Everything has a community. Is crochet also on a journey? Is crochet sustainable? Ethically sourced? Carbon neutral? Is the crochet community non-judgemental and accepting of gender fluidity? Is it inclusive? Does the crochet community recognise that other needle based artisanal handicrafts are valid? Is there a handbook for the safe execution of crochet? A twitter feed? A Facebook group? A pressure group? A parliamentary lobby?
I'm sick of this stuff, and I'm not going to take it any more

I'm thinking of setting up a group every fortnight in Landport. Tuesday evenings, at either the community room near Eridge Green, or at the social room at the bungalows in Newton Road. Let me know if you are interested :-)

Oh dear, I could venture into landport at night, not even in the early evening, could it be held somewhere slightly safer ?

@rubylouyarns, I would be interested in a Tuesday fortnight group! 8 likes to your post would suggest there's others too. Happy to help how I can to set it up?

@Kelly
Are you around Tuesday morning? I have a wool stall at the Town Hall Market - if you are able, pop in (market starts up again on the 9th) and we can sort out the venue and time that would suit people. Otherwise. I'll sort something out then post the details here on this site.

Unfortunately I work Tuesday mornings, I've always wanted to check out the market and not had a chance.
I am happy with an evening at most locations in Lewes, hopefully you get a good response from others about doing it, looking forward to this.
