...if Labour and the SNP hold the seats they have now, the Lib Dems take a few Tory seats (as a private poll commissioned by the Tories has told them may happen)... that could be very interesting. May could end up regretting this.

Agreed, but can you really see Corbyn gaining enough seats? No leader has bounced back from such a low opinion poll rating. The best thing he can do is resign today.

Earl, I particularly said Labour 'hold the seats they have now', not gain any more. That's what makes it interesting.

Labour's problem is that a good many of the strongest Labour Constituencies voted heaviest for Brexit so would hardly welcome a tie up with the pro remain Lib Dems and SNP. Whilst most of the Parliamentary Labour party are pro remain they are also anti Corbyn so even if Labour retain their seats they will have MP's who are not aligned with the views of the majority of their voters on Brexit, which is the biggest political issue, and also have no respect for their leadership. This hardly bodes will for a solid government and explains why Labour are currently such a pathetic opposition. Also a lot of the UKIP votes are probably going back to more traditional parties and the Conservatives will probably hoover up the most. If Mrs M gets in again and Brexit is a effing great mess she will still have enough time left to start a little patriotic war with someone before going to the polls again in 2022 to secure the votes of all those little englanders for five more years. We never learn from history!!!

Yes, iamdan, where the 5,000 Ukip votes in Lewes will go is something to take into account.
