Isn't that no-mark from Squeeze organising it? Pop round his house in Firle and pop a few on his fence, see how he likes it.

You're supposed to have permission from the council to put up these notices. Worth complaining to the council about it as, if they've actually applied, their contact details will be on file.

Definitely call the council. Both the Joy Festival & Food Rocks put signs up everywhere last year. And left them up after their events.
Unless it is a charity event all signs require planning permission which costs about £100
A fence is private property to not subject to the same rules. But if you complain to the council it will influence their decisions for future applications.

I drove back from Uckfield today I'm amazed how many Joy posters are about are the council taking a back hander to turn a blind eye?

Unfortunately it costs money to collect & incinerate them. They had a big round up last summer which I think was a result of complaints. Hopefully they will again soon!

The council are definitely complicit in Joy...there's certain elements in the regeneration department that lap it all up, largely because they themselves are not from the town and want to turn it into a marketable, commoditified 'experience' for upper middle class 'folks'.
