No I'm not having a laugh or joking. I'm actually quite fed up. I'm at home with my heating on.
It was boiling hot this time last year.

I do need heating actually.
I've got the radiators on AND have my open fire roaring away, just to get warm enough.
It is freezing! Maybe it's more freezing out in my village than it is in Lewes town.

It's not unusual weather. We often have easterly/north easterly winds at this time of the year. What it is however, is bloody dry at a time when many of the natural flora need it most. Even the grass has stopped growing!!!!!

Margo, yes, it is very cold. I reckon it has been the coldest and driest first 4 months of a year that I have ever known. The constant northerly wind, overcast skies and overnight frosts have played havoc with my garden. All my potatoes have been caught, my green beans are sitting indoors waiting to be planted out and my three apple trees had all their blossom burnt last week. Plus, I have only measured 8mm of rain since the 1st March !!!
