Hi there
I’m due to move here and have heard some awful stories about the place...is it really that bad?! If I keep myself to myself are we going to have a peaceful home life?
Thanks in advance

Yes I'll go along with it.
Don't believe the hype.
It's just that Genttrification in Landport isn't yet completed.
Real people living real lives not the viva Lewes version!

It’s really quite a scary prospect to move somewhere with such awful tales...I have young children and would hate to put them in a situation where I don’t feel safe or have to continuously look over my shoulder.
I’ve heard of car vandalism, bins being set on fire, glass being smashed everywhere, houses being egged.
Is this a minority or is it something quite prevalent?

But yea, I don't know what or where Landport even is. I was just seeing how easy it is to wind people up with just a few select words. Remarkably easy by the looks of it.

As per all estates, there are good and bad. The houses in Landport are sold and there are some good people there. I brought my 3 kids up there and they've all turned into pretty good adults. There are a few idiots, a few boy racers, a few slobs who have no respect and a few chavs who walk round with their Staffi off the lead and let it **** everywhere.....but so does Malling, Neville and Winterbourne. Don't let the snobs put you off, there will always be an element of people in this town who are so far up themselves that they will look down their noses at everyone. Good luck, you'll be very happy in Landport.

You see, there are some seriously nasty trolls on here as "Drift Away" has just shown. This forum is probably not the best place to ask about living in areas as you'll always get knuckle draggers as above.
WEBBO. you could really have a decent forum here if you could be bothered to wed out the idiots. Wouldn't take much.

More a case of you making a snidey snobby comment about something you later claim to not know where or what it is. Then trying to wriggle out of it.

I suggest you go to Landport and spend a few hours in th Tally Ho.
You my get to actually understand the people you seem to consider your inferiors for having the whiff of Gammon.

Let’s be brutally honest
Not many people have much of a choice where they live, they live where they can afford too.
So if you’re planning on moving to Landport your choices are somewhat limited.
I grew up there but I wouldn’t return by choice. Malling is just as bad though I met someone once that actually liked it !!!
Landport has the cheapest houses in Lewes so maybe that tells something. Ignore those that say it’s no worse than anywhere else because it is
If you like dog sh*t litter, anti social behaviour and living with retards you’ll love it

You cannot expect to get an unbiased answer from anonymous idiots who hide behind their keyboards, because they are unable to communicate any other way.
Ignore everything that has been said, go to Landport and have a look for yourselves. Speak to the people who live there, go to the local shop and talk to real residents about real facts.
