Hello people of Lewes,
We're in the process of creating an alternative education system, and are looking for teachers, mentors, tutors or anyone in the Lewes area with a skill to share to join us. Through our platform at eequ.org we are connecting hundreds of learners with mentors in their local area. If you're interested then do visit our site, email [email protected], or post below and we'll be in touch. We'd love to hear your opinions.

Try the New School. They know how to successfully do that sort of thing.

Checked it out. It's just advertising! And the only useful skill available (maths) costs £35 per hour. Revolution? You must think we're all stupid.

Eequ collects a service fee from the parent and the mentor at each transaction. We collect 5% service fee from the parent
We collect 5% service fee from the mentor.'
This is a money-making exercise Webbo.

It’s difficult to get anything off the ground without money these days but our education system us failing so many of our children these days that I whole heartedly welcome a workable alternative.
You can’t expect tutors and teachers to work for free.

We're looking for people in Lewes who want to make a flexible income on their own terms from teaching a skill or passion. This includes anyone from an established teacher, to somebody who has never taught in their life but wants to share a skill or craft. Through connecting mentors and learners our vision is to create a system for parents (and adult learners) to easily assemble an entire or supplementary education. We believe that skills such as creativity and emotional intelligence should be fostered just as much as traditionally valued abilities.
Because we are new to the Lewes area we are not charging or taking any commission for listing on our site. The entire process is completely free - we are looking to build a learning community
