I Want To Get Out The Lewes Fishbowl

I am 30 years old and like most Lewes people, I have never ventured out the town. My parents never left Lewes either, and neither did their parents. All my grandparents told me that their great grandparents had never left Lewes either.
I have sat at the window of the Royal Oak watching all the same fellow goldfish walking past at the same time each day. Whenever I speak to them in the street they tell me what has been going on in our goldfish bowl because this is what we do. Where else can we speak about?
Anyway, have any of you fellow goldfish ever been drunk enough to venture as far as Brighton, or are you like me.
I wanted to go to London for the Jubilee but I have been assured my naivety would scream from me and that it would be like a lamb to the slaughter. There are rumours about a fish who did risk it and they never came back the same. They could never speak of the experience apparently because they had to be inebriated the whole time to cope with being outside Lewes.
Can somebody please help me down in this bowl. I am fed up with swimming rond and round the whole time, looking out and wondering, but never having the courage to leap over the edge.

Expat two- it is not me
Goldfish- you must venture out into the wide world, but stay sober as it is a jungle out there, especially in the resort of Brighton (the last resort!).
I have been to all continents except one- but I have never been in the Royal Oak in Lewes.
Breaking news- I have just heard on the wireless that the Runaway Cafe has been saved.

The OP sounds like a Big Goldfish in a small pond. Why don't you finish your pint and get yourself to the train station at the bottom of the hill and fook off

I had a similar problems with one of my bunnys. They ventured out met all types of other bunnies, developed a mind of his own. Even worse he tried to bring these other bunnies home - London bunnies, Manchester bunnies, Cornish bunnies it was shocking it was.
So I set up a barricade and banned all future bunnies from leaving....did the trick. I have an odd escape here and there but it's no great loss. You just need a strong bunny willing to rule with an iron fist.
