I am soooooo angry at various threads that seem to be part of a series of wierd threads that are trying to generate hatred against other people. I can only pressume whoever is writing them has very low self esteem, and needs to feel superior. Or they are part of our local BNP action group. Or they are both.

you should try living next door to someone who fiddles the system. You and your partner both work full time and have never had a day out of work in 25 years, you scrimp and save and go without to pay the bills whilst the lazy **** next door take great pride in their two cars, foreign holidays, sky HD to go on their 50" top of the range TV, drink, smoke, dogs, cats and god knows how many "exotic" pets etc etc.
Nothing to do with being a member of the BNP, feeling superior or having a low esteem, it just kinda grinds you down after having it constantly thrown in your face.

You know, the insecure feeling more insecure and finding someone 'below' them to blame?
I bet Daily Mail sales are up too.

Mrs Bling - pick up the phone, dial the benefit fraud hotline and report your neighbour. I suppose the reason you don't is that what you're saying is complete fiction. If life on the dole is so fantastic why don't you try it?

I doubt very much that the family you refer to are on benefits. I do not know where people get the idea that living on benifits leads to a life of riley. Believe me,I know that it is not so easy as one is led to believe. Perhaps they have private means that you know nothing about.Perhaps they have fed you this info because they know you are a nosy neighbour! There is an anonomous line to ring should you feel sure you have your facts right.

Oh i don't know. There is the pleasure you so obviously got from spreading another little bit of poisonous hatred. If it's true why don't you do something about it instead of whining on here?

Mrs Bling and I think the rest of you are sad! It was on the news this morning that they are trying to find a way of making benefits less attractive so that more people get off their arses and get a job... Hoorah, bring it on I say!!

Sherlock, it's a discussion forum that's why i "whine" on here. If i was going to spread a bit of "poisonous hatred", i'd name them and put their address on here.

Fair minded, They are definately on benefits. Infact they're both on sickness benefits. They seem to be living the life of riley because they take great pleasure in telling us what they've been buying. They do have private means which i know everything about as they've told me and it involves working without declaring it it. I'm not a nosy neighbour, they've given all this info without me asking.

Why haven't i rang the DSS ? Because i was brought up to believe you only grass on nonces. I just can't do it. I'm hoping that another neighbour has seen what's happening and will do the deed.

So how many 'scroungers' are we talking about in Lewes - and why doesn't anyone who is so irate about ring the benefits fraud hotline. There's a moral and philosophical issue here. If you have no doubt that someone is defrauding the system then you have a duty to report it - it's theft. No doubt the benefits investigators would be very interested in your neighbours, Mrs Bling, and would watch them covertly for months to establish a case against them. I'm sure you would feel better if you reported them - at least you would have tried to do something. PUzzled at the skewed sense of morality at work here. If you would only grass a nonce does that mean you wouldn't report a wife beater, rapist or murderer ?

It's OK Brixtonbelle, I've now rung the DSS and reported the scroungers. There can't be many people called 'Bling' in Lewes and all they have to do is interview the people on either side of them to make it stick.

One thing people do not realize, is that disability is not always visible,ie mental health problems to name one.As I said, perhaps they feed you the info to wind you up. There are penalties for defrauding, one of which is prison. I happen to know personally, that there is a purge on that the moment in Lewes, so they wont get away with it for long believe me.It is my belief that there are things(quite rightly)that you do not know Mrs Bling!

Mrs Bling, if they are deliberately cheating the system and are winding you up that much then you should quite rightly pick up the phone and report them. Whats the alternative, just let them carry on stealing from you and other taxpayers? I find your logic hard to understand, you were brought up to believe that you only grass on nonces? So you wouldn't grass up someone if they were committing any other crime then?
I'm honestly not trying to be rude or patronizing but seriously if they really are fiddling the benefits system they're comitting a crime and need to be stopped, and instead of posting useless angry stuff on here and sitting around waiting for your neighbour to do it, just get off your behind and do it yourself!!
Give me their details if you haven't got the guts then I'll do it!

To save you the hassle of having to look up the National Benefit Fraud Hotline number, here it is... 0800 854 440. Lines are open between 7.00 am and 11.00 pm, 7 days a week. It is free and confidential.

If they have all the trappings of the rich and famous but are living in a semi on an estate its a fair bet that the benefit system is "subsidising" - when the subsidy gives such an apparently high disposableincome compared to members of the rat race living in the same area - something is well and truly wrong....

as Spinster says, like any crime. if you think it is going on report it. Thats it . sorted. Move on and stop getting so easily wound up by thye BNP, and Daily Mail. You would think from some of the idiots on this forum that every other person was a benefits cheat. Get in the real world. You could also stop whinging about someone elses problem, and give something free back to society by helping a charity in the clearly massive amount of spare time you are spending alone. it would also help in getting a job, so that you could actually pay tax, and be in a better position to moan about how it is spent.

since the money fleeced from a car company by just 4 white collar 'executives', would easily pay for any number of dodgy claims, I really think some people should get a grip on reality. Not a lot of complaints about that kind of much more significant crime on here, that would be much easier to resolve for greater financial reward. And then we have our charming banking executives......
