Just driven past the Ashcombe Roundabout and down the A27 past the allotments towards Cuilfail - aggghhh! it's back! Could it be unrotted horse manure at the riding stables, or something spread on the allotments? Whatever it is, it's nauseating!

It's the same on the Nevill since this morning. I don't think it's coming from any allotments...my guess is the farms the other side of the Lewes racecourse or beyond. Apart from a prolonged period this summer, I can't say I've noticed the stink in the last nine years.
It's a good job I'm trying to flog my house at the moment.

I could smell it as far south as Piddinghoe at lunchtime, and over at Malling.
It's made me feel quite nauseous today.

When it smelt before there was a 'report' in the Sussex Express that it was waste paper sludge being spread on the fields. Who knew paper could smell so bad?!
Fortunately, it's not quite so awful (or long lasting) this time.
