I see the recycling sites have closed. Will the bin men collect bottles, cardboard and paper?

We have one for food waste, how do we get one for bottles, carboard, paper? We usually have so much garden waste I normally take it all to the tip together.

I thought all LDC addresses got a recycling bin automatically. We used to have black boxes but now it is all collected in a mixed wheelie bin. These were “rolled out” to all addresses a couple of years ago.
Go online to the LDC site, I am sure there is a link where you can order wheelie bins. If I can find it, I shall post it on this thread.

Here you go. You may need to create an account though. I have always found them very efficient.

I imagine a phone call to the cat's protection league might help, no wait a minute, there is someone else, it's on the tip of my tongue, umm..... Got It what about the council, I've heard they have something to do with that sort of thing, though I can't be certain.

Already covered above Tom by people trying to help. Maybe not properly reading posts again or trying to make someone look stupid. Well done Tom. You have succeeded in making someone look stupid.

I'm afraid we're going to have to have a bonfire. We have a big pile of prunings that are far too big to compost and we were waiting for them to get dry enough to take to the tip.
Then we had to self-isolate for 2 weeks and now it's too late.
I wonder if scrap men will start calling again? We're gradually acquiring quite a bit of other stuff for recycling, too.

Fair enough Nev, if my house catches fire I know I can rely on you for advice on who to call, knowing that you would never even insinuate that I might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

One is never as stupid as when you're trying to appear clever. Keep well Tom and keep posting.

It's all a matter of degree Nev, a bit of leg pulling never hurt anyone. I know sometimes on the forum people get called morons, cretins, schmucks and other extremely insulting things but you never seem to get a bee in the bonnet about that. I'll go along to get along but if you'd pull your knife out of me a little we might get along better. I'm starting to get an idea of how this Symes character might feel, not that I've ever been on Facebook.

Come on Tom. You can't equate our banter with a knife stuck in you. You must admit it is a bit difficult understanding your point at times. I will try to be nicer now that l know you are a bit sensitive.
Sorry Tom. Even that came out more hurtful than I intended.
