Hi there,
We are thinking of moving to Lewes and need to spend some time in the area. I wondered whether any body would be interested in a house swap for the weekend? We live in south London and thought it would be the perfect weekend break for someone or a family to spend time in London while we get to grips with east sussex.
Please get in touch if you are interested. We are 15 mins from Victoria and waterloo.
Many thanks, Christina

Christina, just to forewarn you that you may get abusive posts about being a 'DFL' (Down From London) and pushing the house prices up etc. Please ignore and treat with the contempt they deserve. I moved down from London 10 years ago and have never regretted it for a second. Lewes is a fantastic town and so are most of the people. Now I try and avoid going to London unless it's for a concert of exhibition. You will never regret moving here.

Would anyone swap Sussex for the smoke. You'll find no problem if you move here and work here too, I think it's the commuters who are considered DFL's because they want London salaries. You won't find it much cheaper to live down here, or find a free parking place

I was fortunate and got a job in Lewes but it doesn't always happen. Not sure that most London salaries are going to be an advantage once the cost of train fares, tube fares and possibly parking at the station are taken into consideration!
