House of the Year on Ch4

Did anyone watch House of the Year on Ch4 last night? Kevin McCloud revisited the Rusty House. Sadly it didn’t get through to the shortlist - wrongly in my opinion as it is a far more interesting and innovative design than the two houses that were shortlisted. I feel Lewes was shown in a poor light due to that crazy ex mayor popping up on the show and giving her ilinformed and narrow minded views on modern architecture. Taste is obviously a very personal matter but she does Lewes no favours when she presents herself as a spokesperson for architecture in the town. She’s like a snag toothed hippy version of Prince Charles meddling in town planning. Thank god she’s no longer mayor.

It's was probably booted out on account of the fact that it was built years ago, I expect they were just after an extra award to help it sell. Seeing what else is in the same price bracket (and a lot cheaper) it's no surprise the price has been reduced.
