Why is that so unlikely Mark? The flat is lovely, its sunny & spacious in quiet area with balcony doors overlooking community garden & wooded area. There is plenty of resident only parking, bus stop within few yards & short walk to town with no hills. According to people on here I'd have thought people would want to get out of Landport!!

Well you may be right but people do swap houses for flats when they no longer want the work that goes with maintaining a garden of their own yet they still have the benefit of sitting out undisturbed in the sun in the large secluded communal garden. We get precious little summer anyway & people no longer tied by family (like my parents) work, holiday abroad & spend spare time doing active persuits so have little use for a garden. Your wrong about the area being a no no Mark, they are actually quite sought after because it is so quiet.

There are people out there who would be prepared to swap a house for a flat-I just don't think they would use this website. Have you been along to the council, they used to have a board with all the possible swaps on there.

Yep they have got their details on the council exchange list but just thought I'd check out on here as they were interested in going to Landport which is always getting slated on here! It would seem even older residents arent that keen to get off the estate after all :-)

My sister swapped out of Landport using a site called UKHomeswap. It has lots of swaps litsted and you pay a tiny fee per month. My parents live in a 3 bed in Landport and wont ever move from there. Some people love it!
