GUITAR WORKSHOP

Saturday 12th. March 2011
2.00 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.
The Crown Inn, 191 High St, Lewes BN7 2NA

David is a brilliant young guitarist, singer & songwriter who recently graduated from the Newcastle University traditional music degree course. He's currently touring with the distinguished fiddler Tom McConville & also US fiddler & singer Christi Andropolis. He's recorded with Rubus & also Sandra Kerr.

David‚??s unique style mixes folk, rock and roll, blues, slide and a tiny bit of jazz. Using a mix of flatpick and fingerstyle, he‚??s keen to draw as much from the instrument as possible, and not limit it to one genre. In his hands, the guitar is tastefully and artfully pushed as far as it will go when accompanying himself or others.
IN THE EVENING TOM McCONVILLE & DAVID NEWEY PERFORM AT THE ELEPHANT & CASTLE
Admission £8.
