I just wanted to post to say what an excellent pharmacy they are. I got locked out of my doctors online repeat prescription system but H A Baker rescued me by dispensing my prescription as I am a registered patient with them. My husband has had a similar experience. We've both had flu jabs there recently. Service always courteous and helpful. A real gem of Lewes.

But being better than Boots isn't too difficult is it? Long live the independents.

I find Bakers staff condescending, and more officious than Doctors receptionists. (Of course I've taken paracetamol before, I'm over 60 !!) But its the way they ask it !! I can pick up 2 boxes in Tesco, no questions asked AND points.

They have to ask you by regulation, it's not condecneding to do your job as required by pharmercy regulation. I suggest you go to Tesco in future. I find Bakers brilliant and helpful - long live the idependant.

The tall young pharmacist is a bit of a prat. I asked him what some of the drugs were for that I was picking up for a relative. He told me he couldn't tell that sort of information in a very condescending tone like it was an official secret!!! That fact that it's all on the NHS website amongst others had obviously passed him by.
