Hi... i really want to move to Lewes...but it's too expensive for me...(aaaarrrgghhh)
I'm looking for a 2 bed garden flat/house up to about £130..can't find anything.
Does anyone know of a property that is about to come onto the market/is already, in the surrounding area for around that price??? A fixer upper perhaps? At the moment I'm looking at Bexhill, which is miles away.. but has some lovely conversion properties in the area. It is really too far away though ...as I really want to join the Lewes 'scene'. I'm an artist, and also I'm a qualified Massage and Reiki therapist. Thanks for reading my blurb.

Yeah, we really need another artist-cum-reiki therapist in Lewes. We just can't get enough of them.

That said, Lewes doesn't really have a big New Age scene. We're a sceptical lot and always have been. Have you tried Forest Row? There are lots of 'alternative' people living there.

Earl - I think the idea is to get all the artist-cum-reiki therapists out of London to make room for the returning bankers.

Try Brighton which is cheaper, and has more punters. The idea that Lewes has a 'scene' is rather fascinating. What do you mean? Newhaven is nearby and much cheaper.

Work harder, earn more, then just maybe you might be able to afford a Landport mansion . Next door to fa maybe. Nice.

At least your kids will be safe next to me, unlike the previous poster. You could buy a house in Nevill next to tooth fairy's paedo towers
