Just wanted to let people know to check their bank accounts if they set up paying this company that way. Turns out that Greentopia Sussex has taken 4 payments this year from my husbands account. The bank have been contacted and so have Citizens Advice. Anyone have any idea how to shut this company down? How many people have had unauthorised payments taken from their account unknowingly? How can we stop them?

It's down to the bank to investigate, you need to raise them as unauthorised debits.

every existing unsatisfied customer which is pretty near every customer thaey have should cancel all direct debits at once, it claims to have new ownership if they were upright honest and decent they would not be making such careless mistakes and also would have contacted every customer to try and retain business, they have not, Dodgy, well it looks that way and thats a fact

They set up a new direct debit and took a second annual fee from me, but my bank has refunded that now. Everyone needs to tell their bank to cancel existing direct debits and put a block on any new transactions. greentopia are just stealing peoples money now, and offering no service.

1. I have contacted the Environment Agency about Greentopia and they have confirmed that Greentopia Sussex is trading without a valid licence, the new director not having notified them of change of director and business premises. They are pursuing that but it won’t help those of us who have paid for a service that we aren’t receiving.
2. I have reoported the issue tot the Trading Standards Office and await their reply. Has anyone else done this and, if so, what was the response?
3. Has anyone taken any other action?
