Like many other subscribers to this forum I'm beginning to despair at the poor service of this company. I'm now seriously considering going to the small claims court. Alternatively, or in addition, would others join me in a "day of action" where instead of taking our uncollected garden waste to the tip we all take it to their offices in Lewes? - they are contracted to collecting it from us, so we'd be doing them a favour!!

They don’t have a place in Lewes. The company moved out last year so actually you would just be making this someone else’s problem instead of Greentopia’s.
The ladies on reception were calling them to try and get an address when I called into the 6 weeks or so ago so I think they are as frustrated as we are

Thanks for your responses and clarifying that they are no longer based in Lewes. I'm fairly sure too that they are no longer at Rayford House - that's the address of previous owners. The new owner of Greentopia lives in Leicester and you can find his personal home address on the Companies House register if you wish to write to him ( but don't expect a response!).

Has anyone actually contacted Synergy Waste Solutions Ltd at Rayford House? They were the owners of Greentopia and their directors had a legal responsibility to act in the interests of stakeholders (which includes customers).
They and their legal people should have checked that the new owner (whoever he is) was a fit person to run the company, do the service and access our direct debits.
If they didn't do this they may have a liability for the current failures. Has anyone contacted them?

If it’s still of interest to ripped off customers of Greentopia, the company is trying to deregister as a company. I have successfully had their application suspended until May on the grounds that it has yet to settle debts with its creditors. If others also wrote to Companies House objecting to their registration it might help to reinforce that suspension. Might not get our money back, but it feels good!

I am in the fortunate position that I had only just renewed last August and was able to get the money refunded through the direct debit scheme. I wrote and emailed to cancel but of course never had any response. My query is I am left with their bin, can anyone tell me what to do with it please! I have now signed up with the council scheme which is going fine but I have an extra bin!!
