I quite like the vote green signs. They blend in with the hedges round the country lanes in Ringer and Glynde. The other party colours are a bit too bright and look like hazard warnings which is quite appropriate I suppose.
I was wondering how they recycled them? Any ideas.

Possibly not for local council elections - probably for general though unfortunately.

Our Vote Tory signs are very distinctive. They feature an oak tree, scribbled out. It represents us Conservative's visceral hatred of trees, or anything green. Or indeed anything living.

The Vote Green signs in Ringmer and Glynde are almost certainly explained by the local popularity of Johnny Denis, who is standing in the County Council election for the Lewes Bridge and Ringmer ward.

I'm sure that in local elections, especially in villages, a lot of people vote for the candidate rather than the party.
In the last District election in Ringmer the two top candidates were from two different parties. They got twice as many votes as the other candidates from the same parties. In both the last two District elections I have voted for three candidates from three different parties, because I thought they would be good councillors.
However, in local elections you can safely vote for a good Labour candidate without any risk of finding Jeremy Corbyn has been put in charge of National security. What a nightmare that would be.

Greens tried to hijack a new LDC initiative. They don't get my vote because of this.

Vote Green, get Blue... It was certainly true in 2015. This time, Sussex Progressives are campaigning for tactical voting in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove. If we vote smart we can kick the Tories out of East Sussex and Brighton and end up with two Labour, two LibDem and a Green.
