Hi everyone,
My son will be five in November and we've promised him a party this year. We're still quite new to the area, so I'm a bit stuck for any good places to hire, that won't break the bank??? Not keen on doing a Monkey Bizness party .. any other options?? We just want to have a bit of food, balloons and some silliness.

There's a room above Pizza Express that can be used for parties for free - obviously you pay for the pizzas, but I think they also do pizza making parties. You could hire an entertainer/magician as well for the silliness or play your own games for free.

We have used Southover Church Hall in St James St which is a good sized space - two rooms and a kitchen and garden, and good value. And we have used the Leisure Centre which has a huge room with equally huge bouncy castle. Also not dear.

We hired the nursery in DeMontfort Road a few years ago. They had a ball pit and was quite reasonable. We hired an entertainer called Mr Pineapplehead who was very good too. Might be worth a call.

Thanks so much everyone - and in answer to your question, "thinker", our home is so tiny we can barely fit our own family in the lounge to eat. Obviously if that was an option, we would be doing it!
