I've been thinking about this for a while now and I think we should take note of what Trump wanted to do with Mexico and get rid of Landport so it isn't part of Lewes, it should be a separate town. I'm not saying we should build a wall but I think it is necessary, I'm tired of being associated with them. They ruin the name of Lewes.

Well aren't you a nice piece of work.
Believe me no one in Landport wants to be associated with a sad excuse for a human like you, so if there was a way we could divorce ourselves from scum like you we would.
Stand by your convictions, start a petition, see what happens...

There's no point in getting rid of Landport without putting a wall up to keep the inhabitants out of the rest of the town. Having it as a separate council completely would save a lot of money on pensions and benefit payments that could then be spent on useful stuff in Lewes like road repairs and more police (To man the wall) so the idea is a sound one. Someone organise a referendum or something.

It's fine, I have done a lot of research and it turns out we'll just become a gated community. Should add at least 50% on property values.

@Ann, "I live in Malling and am upper middle class"...
When I bought a house in Lewes I was lucky enough to be able to afford to move to Landport, so pleased I didn't have to resort to the "cheaper areas" like "Malling" as it would of added a good 15 minutes to my drive to work.

When I first came to Lewes, the houses at the bottom end of the estate were in the parish of Hamsey. Because of this, the kids got free bus travel to Chailey School. Landport kids who didn't live in Hamsey had to walk to Priory School.
