In case anyone hadn't heard there has been a press release from the GOTR and the LDC and they have changed the terms and conditions to allow re-admission for all festival ticket holders at the festival. The town is now going to host a brilliant party weekend and its going to be amazing for everyone, even those not wanting to attend the festival will have plenty of music and entertainment throughout the town.

well done to the people who achieved this. The release is a predictably patronising PR version ignoring how this mess has been caused, but welcome nonetheless. I also look forward to an honest explanation from LDC of what happened, about they got into this position. It especially concerns those of us who are not going to this event, but want it to work, because most of us don't even get to enjoy the music, but it is our tax that is being risked by Jenny Rowlands and her friends, regardless of who else makes money out of our good will.
But again congratulations to the real achievers here, local residents.

Should be on FB tomorrow, that we are still having a celebration next Tuesday 8 pm in the Lansdown.
Viv and Ben English, Nicky Bryant, Stevie at Union, Samantha, Tanya, 2500 Facebook followers and the Councillors that have tried to be human, local and helpful- Merlin, Donna, Ruth, Catlin, John definitely.
This forum was just one tactic out of many approaches and fronts.
Who cares? Something worked.
And I can't stop grinning.
July is looking pretty f'ing good again

Middle class beardy blokes trying to play football, some buskers, people moving in and out of a field, some juggling white Rastas on uni cycles, some people selling quiche and smoothies praise the Lord , July is saved
