I would be surprised if Viva Lewes would give a voice to such a 'Brixit' opinion. I think that publication might favour remain.

After viewing Lewes fb page I find it suspicious that it takes someone over 2 and half hours to notice a message on a brick(then another possible message) that has just come through a window. Was it a brick? or a Rubik's Cube that had to have a sequence of moves to spell out a message.

Just had a look on the lewes Facebook site and can't find what you are referring to endoftheouse. Please can you explain the point you are trying to make. Are you saying that you don't think a brick went through a window or that it didn't have writing on although they claimed it did or something else entirely? Genuinely confused by your post and rather than just give a thumbs down its better to give someone the chance to explain I think.

Yes, there was definitely a picture posted on Facebook of a brick with some writing on it. I think it said “traitor”. The picture has mysteriously disappeared so can understand endoftheouse’s comment.

The picture disappearing explains why I couldn't find anything about it but I don't see how it explains endoftheouse's comment.

The post about the brick through the window has returned with the added comment that police have been unable to find the culprit and taking no further action. As this means it was reported to the police I think it is very unlikely it was fake news. If endoftheouse has information to suggest that these people have wasted police time by reporting a made up incident then he should do so.

Nevillman, sorry but I can’t find the pic. The original pic is still there but a more recent one was posted showing a brick in close up with (I think) the word traitor written on it. If you have found it - genuine apologies, if not, I would suggest it was fake news.

No. Since it was a close up of the brick posted by the person whose window was shattered by it at 01.30 it's either that he was lying, or that it was simply a close up of the writing on the brick. Not fake news either way. It's a pretty sick accusation to make, unless you believe that the victim of this crime also chucked the brick through his own window.

If you lend someone £20 and don't see them again it was probably worth it.
