What was the real purpose of this hoax, preparing us for more unwanted legislation or was it a financial hit against certain businesses, airlines etc. Is anyone investigating share volatility during the shutdown? Or, is it just an example of how easily a few phone calls can decimate high technology. Does anyone else remember the 70s and the ubiquitous use of hoax bomb threats to close schools, concerts or just about anything. Eventually the fad died out...
Interesting how most people think of a mini quad copter as a drone whereas a few years ago they would have thought of a U. S. Predator or before that a worker bee.
Can anyone honestly think of a more debased profession than journalist.... Most 11yr old kids knew this story was fake before the tabloids!

It was rather odd that there didn't seem to be many, if only one that I saw, and that could have been anywhere, photographs of any drones. With 1,000s of delayed travellers and staff at the airport, all with phone cameras did no one catch a shot ? I this day and age, isn't that alone odd ? I love a conspiracy theory too.

Part of the alt-right project is to get us to a point where we don't know who or what to believe. Then like rabbits in the headlights we will be powerless to organise against a slow motion coup which we don't even realize is happening until it's too late. Brexit is all part of this, of course. This whole Gatwick incident maye have been intended as part of our psychologial conditioning.

Interesting to see how any post that questions anything gets the thumbs down treatment.

I'm sure you're right Tom. The only way the Remainers are going to get what they are the City and the banks want is to have a 'government of national unity' made up of the same old crowd that tried the SDP in the 1980s. Then the neo-liberal project will be safe.

One thing you don't seem to have noticed, Arnold, is that Farage, Banks and Rees-Mogg have no power. The City, the banks, and the government that told us to vote Remain in 2016 had and has power. Why would you say the austerity triplets Cameron, Osborne and Clegg, and the City and the banks were telling us to vote Remain?
