According to the Independent's 'expert' Lucas comes off much better than Cameron (but no surprise there). Cuadrilla is like a dot com company. It's value is on the profit it is expected to make in the future. This is why Cabinet energy advisor and Tory big wig Lord John Brown has invested so heavily in it.

Unfortunately for them, Cuadrilla carried out the very first (and so far only) proper frack in this country (aka known as 'high volume, horizontal hydraulic fracturing') and it went wrong, causing earth tremors and ending up with them being caught withholding information and operating outside the terms of their license. Their next frack at Balcombe has not been going well either. Their drill has broken at least twice and there's an odd looking crowd surrounding them and singing songs.

Their CEO Francis Egan (the man who said that fracking was unlikely to reduce our energy bills) is not looking well either (see link) ........

I'm glad you like it. I'll bet you he's not head of Cuadrilla for too much longer. He's made a bit of a mess of things. I imagine that behind closed doors shareholders are now calling for his blood.
