Have not seen any comments on the above recently, but things are not improving, and since School Hill surgery closed, things have got worse. It seems to be a closed shop, as we cannot access any surgeries out side Lewes, as we are not in their catchment area. The new magic building does not look as it will ever be built. L think Lewes deserves better.

They seem more of a reactive outfit now as even annual blood tests and medication reviews are missed if you don’t chase them up.
How the elderly and non computer literate patients manage to have their existing ailments monitored without being notified by the practice beggars belief.

You are right about blood tests etc. You have to ring up (Oh God!) and then are sent a link to book privately (which I hope means personally!) I am 86, but luckily can still bang out an email or two.

Newish to Lewes and School Hill is my new GP. Seems to be stuck in April 2020 as locked down, unresponsive, barely present and seems have had all their diaries/software stolen. Have had a few instances where it seems I am the one responsible for telling them when my 6 monthly blood tests are due as clearly too complex for them to remember ….. previous surgery used to contact me 2-4 weeks in advance of all necessary tests but I had to ring the GP to ask whether they had record of my 6 month tests and all they said was “oh yes, you are correct”. Same happened with a regular review of my meds which they seemed to need a reminder of - am truly baffled re whether this is incompetence, loss of records or just don’t care…..

Even the Spring booster covid jab is a lottery with them as currently you are told to wait for a text and not to ring up to ask for one.
It seems like links for the jab are being sent to female patients in my area regardless of age and vulnerability………ladies first?
To date I have received 3 emails from NHS England to book an appointment at centres many miles away, but not a peep from the Foundry.
No wonder the national take up is p… poor!
