Can someone tell me why people feel the need to let off loud fireworks at 11.45 at night?

Because they are Lewes bonfire girls and boys rendered arrogant, insensitive and unfeeling by alcohol.

Living in the town centre it is a way of life, as the high street has many people letting them off around 2am . It gets louder as the year goes on! And most Saturday nights with all the weddings that go on we have a great display! So there is ups and downs!

I live as close as it possible to get to the centre of town by the war memorial and I hardly ever hear fireworks. I think some people are exaggerating the use of fireworks....Even of you do hear them it's very short lived. Something about the nature of fireworks....a flash in the pan :-)

well, so do I ,and not only did I hear them last week, but I could see them, somewhere neat the mound, but they were rattling my windows. I love fireworks, but it would be nice if people understood that you can have a bit too much of a good thing, especially unexpectedly, late at night in September.
