About the displays or about your desire to be publicly smug about saving a few quid due to your location?

I thought they were pretty good. I'm able to watch about three displays out of my back window after watching the processions unfold from the comfort of the front window overlooking the high street, so I'm feeling similarly smug.

Is your Malling house free too (housing benefit paying the rent) or do you earn your living and contribute to society in other ways?

Absolutely stunning evening!! Well done to all the societies.
Parades excellent. Loved the observation of silence at The Memorial and the Last Post (apart from the 2 twats on balcony above Sussex Stationers. Why couldn't someone have thrown a rookie through their window??).
Went to Borough fire site this year, and was spectacularly good. Best for years, though the others in town looked awesome too. Great post fire celebrations too!
After all the ridiculous crap of the last few weeks about bonfire, all came together perfectly! Well done!!!

So it was only 80 injuries last night. Only? That's 80 too many. Bonfire is dying anyway so wind it down earlier and save someone some pain.

@Fred Smith. Yeah, just like Christmas, isn't it? Same old nativity scene, same old Santa outfits, same old presents? Never changes. Why do we do it?
@Guy. 80 injuries. What degree of injury are we talking about?

Guy and Fred . Bet you two are A right laugh at Partys !!
Injurys recorded on the night are any one that spoke to an St. John's or paramedic long enough to give their name
This includes
Drunk person reciving a bottle of water
Getting dust in the eye
Falling over and being fine but them double checking on you
Stubbing Your toe on the pavement in front
Of them and them assisting you
It's protocol if they speak to you they ask your name it's recorded as an injury
As Iv heard no major injurys at all.
Long live lewes bonfire and it's worn out costumes walking the same old streets and all the people in it . Another fantastic year !!
