Field or barn for the night

On 6 Jul 2015 at 9:59pm Tim wrote:
Hello all
I am turning 40 early September and am looking to hire a field for a night where I can have a nice birthday party and friends and family can camp over. We're a good and responsible group - we'd want a BBQ and to have a bit of a dance. Any help much appreciated! Thanks all.

How about Spring Barn Farm?

A friend once used the field behind the pub in plumpton for a party , very convenient for alcohol and toilets . it was some years ago though but maybe worth asking .

Thanks all for the suggestions. I hope to have music which in think rules out Spring Barn and Baxters (looking at their websites).
Re Plumpton pub, do you mean the Half Moon?
Also, a friend mentioned Boathouse Farm - anyone know anything about that?
All help much appreciated!

Yes Crispin Tebbut at Boathouse Farm is probably a good bet. Just don't give him any of your alcohol if you want a trouble free night.

The Plough at Plumpton Green has a decent sized field that sometimes has a marquee / various tents on it. Private parties, weddings etc. I guess they charge though?

You could ask the cliff bonfire party , for their bog , for a small donation

Yes - Crispin is the guy to approach. He has the fields opposite the Anchor Inn at Barcombe.
