Comparisons between countries are always dodgy - sometimes you just have to do the best you can. Just a few other explanations for the connection include: varying levels of test and trace; varying abilities in identifying cases; varying abilities in reporting/counting identified cases.
The more developed countries (with the highest current reported case
rates) will tend to be at the top of these three factors. It is unlikely that cases occurring in remote parts of Africa, for example, will make it into the stats. Locals will probably not even know that Covid exists.

Are you referring to India? If I neglected to include the comparison between areas of India using ivermectin where deaths are low and other areas relying on gene therapy where the rates are much higher I was most remiss.

Millions of Indians cured of covid AND ringworm all in one fell swoop by Ivermectin.

The issue with Ivermectin, at least in the US, is that there are certain folks who want to try anything other than the vaccine (although at least they acknowledge covid exists, i suppose thats progress). Most doctors of course recommend the vaccine as its proven highly effective and wouldn't prescribe ivermectin as that tends to be prescribed to treat parasites in the intestines. Its mostly a drug used for livestock animals, and unfortunately idiotic americans are self medicating with drugs intended for horses - with sometimes severe consequences. Perhaps there are some beneficial side-effects of taking an antiparasite drug, despite not being anti-viral....but the issue is that even in studies where there is a conclusion it helps in reducing covid, its roughly in the 70% range, where as the vaccines, now in hundreds of millions of people, are demonstrating a 96%+ reduction in symptoms.

I'm happy with the vaccine. Should ivermectin become available as an official treatment to covid in the future, then i'll be happy to take the doctors advice. The more options the better of course, but lets not spook people out of vaccines with DNA nonsense either. Plus if you were that freaked out about mRNA vaccines, then there is always the "traditional" vaccines available like the AZ one.

TP 3 Sept - 11-48 Well, the last time I looked, India wasn't in Africa.
Well done on the perfectly metrical poem though. If you fancy expanding your horizons you could follow me onto the Lewes News poetry page. The coordinator is Anna Frearson.

Well, there's something we CAN agree on. If it's got a metre, it's got a metre and if you lose it, don't try to confuse it, a feminine rhyme is no hanging crime but rhythm's a pitiless creature! It is late and I had an early start.....

There's something that seems to have been missed throughout this crisis. Meeting people outside and encouraging ventilation can be a bad idea. The great advantage of meeting people at home is that the resident has complete control over contacts. They cannot infect themselves. If they want, they can meet only double-jabbed mask wearers who sanitise on arrival, with the resident insisting on social distancing. Meeting people outside eliminates these safeguards.
Many of my friends live in period cottages or flats on a main road with no front garden. Opening front room windows exposes a resident (even with carefully controlled visitors) to the exhalations of all and sundry, including puffing joggers.
Yes, perhaps low risks. But as I keep saying, why take any risk which can be avoided?
