TP, looking at previous posts on here it seems that you have last word pretty frequently. I wonder why?

While I'm extremely flattered by your attention, Hyena I'm puzzled that such a big fierce predator such as yourself should be sniping from his ivory tower at such prey as myself. Surely there's much bigger meat out there to sink your teeth into in such momentous times as these. There's so many puzzling things going on out there that my position in the forum pales into insignificance. I'm sure you must have read about Neil Ferguson caught out in the nest with his euro~babe, doesn't that pique your interest. Not from any prurient reason but, surely the person who engineered this whole lockdown must have realised that his indiscretion could have caused, at his own calculation, half a million deaths. Another question I would have thought you might find more interesting than my posts is why the government with it's thousands of eminent experts would have taken into account the opinion of someone who had a record of such astounding failures in his job. Don't you find that inexplicable? If you have any theories about it I'd be glad to hear them. Good hunting.

@Tom, those kind of tabloid sex scandal stories don't hold much interest for me. This Neil Ferguson character has resigned and rightly so - but thats where the story ends for me as far as my curiosity goes on this. I'm also sure that the government would have sought advice from numerous experts and not just one, so I'm not sure why the conspiracy nuts are all fixated in on Prof Neil Ferguson. Surely he hasn't instructed lockdown policy for the other 100+ or so other governments who have carried out similar national procedures. I guess its because conspiracy theorists all sing from the same hymn sheet and they all need a common bogeyman.

As for Fergusons record, no doubt he has put forward some alarming projections both in the past and recently. What I would add is that with now over quarter of a million people dead worldwide, and over 30k dead in a matter of 8 weeks in the UK alone......was going into lockdown that ever much in question? What would you have done differently, given how you also know what REALLY happened to building 7 on 9/11 and JKF's actual assassin. One of the symptoms of a conspiracy nut is their denial of being one in the first place, and take great offence to being compared to the likes of creeps from Infowars or David Icke (despite having many shared outrages between them all).

Not much to add except to say that a hyena is not actually a predator Tom but a scavenger. This is not to make any judgement on them. We must all make our way in the world using what we have. I would also like to add that I am pretty determined that Tom does not get the last word on this thread. He usually does it by saying something so monumentally unintelligible, irrelevant or ridiculous that there really is no comeback. I'm going to beat you this time young Tom. Forgive my interruption. Please go back to talking about what you want. I shall return at the end unless this is already it in which case I won.

Hah I can't rest while green waste leaves his slimy trail over proceedings. You seem to see contheos everywhere, has the spectre of icke been bothering you again? Have you ever read any english history? If you have any capacity for reflection you might have noticed that it consists almost totally of conspiracies. They never stop plotting against each other as they claw their way up the greasy pole. Also, try saying something new ,your repetitive mantras are getting even duller, if that's possible.

I didn't know you were interested in wild life. Lots of rabbits out very early in the morning and birds I don't usually see. A friend of mine saw peregrines, ravens, a kestrel and a buzzard but there's a distinct paucity of hyena sightings.

Nice try Tom. Utterly nonsense and impossible to respond to. I'm afraid I'm on to your little game. You're going to have to do better this time if you want the last word. Hyena last heard from at 6.57 on Friday and your views on autism might be interesting.

@ Tom Pain, you may feel outnumbered and much maligned right now, but this is just the beginning of your thought re-programming and rehabilitation. Soon, you WILL conform like the rest of us and never question authority again.

You will no longer have to concern yourself with sleepless nights thinking about just what reptilian species the royal family are part of, or if the CIA invented AIDs in a lab. No need to trouble yourself with the Kennedy family, or the Rothschilds for that matter. You'll be at peace at last, and most importantly, being a PRODUCTIVE MEMBER OF SOCIETY. You rebel.

So you're getting nervous now greenie I think I must be too because all I can think of is a quote ~"all those people that you mention, I know them, they're quite lame, I had to rearrange their faces and give them all another name."
I'm afraid you're talking to a figment of your imagination, I'm not into any of that stuff. But I did have an insight as a result of this phony fear that's been manufactured ~ the people that are most afraid of dying are those that have never really lived.. I hope the people you know are a bit more real than your bizarre conception of me.

Are you threatening to rearrange green's face Tom? He's only trying to reassure you how happy you'll be once you given up all your conspiracy theories. You say you don't believe in them anyway when everyone knows you do and you even prove it in your post by saying that the current situation is phony fear. I hope you are right. Please try to provide some evidence to back it up. Are the figures we are given for deaths wrong, exaggerated or unimportant? Please try to answer on this thread if you can. Keep the faith Tom. Don't resort to ridicule or violence. You will be the one laughing when it turns out you have been right all along and all of your conspiracies are true. You can write 'I told you so' on every thread then Tom.

Oh dear nev your ridiculous and faux naive "interpretation" of the quote is so heavy handed it defies belief. Your support for the government's draconian measures fits well with your general attitude of complete intolerance for any opinion not in line with your own and over zealous efforts to to ridicule anyone with the effrontery to utter it. Boris would be proud of you, who knows maybe an o.b.e. is waiting. Thanks for your Gates thread just for me, I've added to it and found another, his investment in the British private prison industry!

You don't like it when I quote what you have said back at you do you Tom? Maybe thinking a bit more carefully before you write something would help. Do you actually read other posts Tom? I'm asking you to provide evidence for your assertion. Not an unreasonable request I would think. I even said please. How do you interpret that as me showing support for the government, complete intolerance for others opinions or a zealous attempt to ridicule you? I look forward to reading your latest bill gates revelation in the appropriate thread and your answer to my question on here.

OK nev the answer in a quote from Sir Patrick Vallance chief scientific adviser to the Gov. at a covid briefing talking about the hospital death rate and the total death rate from the Office of National Statistics:"death rates are people who have got covid on their death certificate, it doesn't necessarily mean they've been infected because many of them have not been tested, we need to understand that" If I knew how to link it I would it's on an official gov. broadcast. I somehow know this will just provoke more questions but only the government can answer them. There it is it speaks for itself I can't add any more.

Good point about the lack of testing and unreliability of the exact death figures Tom but I'm afraid it doesn't prove anything about the danger of the virus. It could even mean that it is more dangerous than the government say. We don't know. It certainly doesn't explain why you think I'm in line for an obe or explain how you justify any of your comments about my support for the government or any of the other accusations against me in your posts above. It does say a lot about you, your ability to enter into a proper debate and your understanding of the situation.

Statistically it doesn't seem as deadly as the normal seasonal flu. Also if you look at the graphs for seasonal flu infection you'll see they go up quickly then taper off just the same as this one.Incidentally the lockdown came just after the peak so judging by the historical record it was too late to influence the figures though doubtless the government will claim different. There's never been a flu lockdown before, the cost to the economy and the NHS was judged too great, and the human cost as well.
