How many times have i got to run the gauntlet of parked cars on the "pavement" from people using the allotments.
Several times in the past few weeks, i've had to walk with my buggy into the road because the gap was too narrow.
It's about time the law started issuing parking tickets

I've had an allotment up there for three years and never seen anyone parking on the pavement. There is a small car park for allotment users and tits just been doubled in size. Do you mean along the Ringmer road side ?

They're committing an offence by obstructing the pavement. Leave notes on their windscreens, take photos with their registration numbers included, and if they don't stop, call the police.

Take photos of the offending vehicles, clearly showing that your buggy can't squeeze through, and then post everything on Operation Crackdown. When there are a few complaints about the same thing the police will / should, eventually, investigate.

people have always parked half on the pavement/half on road there (road to ringmer)...one regular culprit being a 3 wheeler. are they too lazy to park in the car park and walk to their allotment?????

Yes, it can look a bit like a 'shanty town' with the sheds and slightly ramshackle structures. The whole point with allotments is that you are able to grow produce cheaply and many people reuse and recycle different objects for different uses. I'm hoping to build a 'greenhouse' on my plot from plastic bottles. There are people who use scaffolding poles as structures for climbing veg, pallets as edging for raised beds, old oil drums as containers for fires, etcetc. It's not a Chrlsea garden, but a working plot.

why would you want to push your buggy along the pavement when there is a much more pleasant and safer route along the new cycle path?

I like the fact it's safe enough to leave windows open and shops don't need to put grills up at night.
