A big thank you goes out to ESCC highway contractors.
Last week you placed a "no road markings" sign on the Offham road/Neville Road junction completely blocking the view down the hill whilst pulling out of Offham Road.
This week you're resurfacing the Offham Road between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm, but for some reason the contractors are turning up around 7:45 and sitting in their vans for 1 hour 45 minutes (presumably they are contracted to work between 8 and 4).
They parked in a big long line along the road, blocking King Henrys road and Landport Junctions, I saw 2 near miisses in the space of a minute whilst waiting to pull out, meanwhile the contractors sat in their vans drinking tea and coffee.

And from Wednesday to Friday this week Barcombe Mills Road. Last time they worked on the road they screwed the drainage up so badly it now turns into an ice rink every winter.... and since then cars sliding off the road and down the bank above the old Anglers Rest have become a regular occurrence.

@Deja Vu certainly ranting on an internet forum is one way of making the world a better place but did you ever think about doing something constructive like writing to the contractors or the Council?

Clearly you've never contacted the council...
Emailing ESCC would of resulted in the first few emails being ignored, followed by a few emails of "please hold on we're trying to find the relevant person", followed by a long wait as "the right person" only works in the office 1 afternoon a week and is currently on a 6 weeks training course followed by a two week Christmas break and four week holiday in the new year...
