Well said Taff. Dr Swaine's family have already had to endure spiteful comments on the forum about his death. Isn't it time we all stopped and thought how they must have felt as they read some of the postings? I am sure none of us would like a lives discussed in detail on the Lewes forum. Let us show his family the same decency.

I only visit this forum very ocasionally and each time I do I'm genuinely amazed at some of the stuff the moderator allows to be posted here. I'm not a stuffy, politically correct Neighbourhood Watch type but scanning recent posts I found loads of messages written by narrow-minded bigots which were openly racist and / or homophobic, as well as the unbelievably insensitive posts re Dr Swaine (I agree A Patient) among others. Legislation states that moderators are required to prevent such illegal postings and that by not doing so they can be considered to condone the publication of such material. Therefore moderators can and have been prosecuted as a result of this inaction. So moderator, if you're out there, DO YOUR JOB!!!

The great thing about the Lewes Forum is it's up to date and lively, you don't have to wait a month to get out of date news
