NDNC which stands for National Do Not Call Registry or do not call register provides you the complete information about how to start DND and to stop it. Also Check DND status of your mobile number and get do not call list numbers.

Are you sure this isn't a scam to harvest live phone numbers?

Of course it's a scam, why else would it be being posted here by a bot?

We literally never use our home phone, we only have it because you need a phone number to get broadband, I don't even know the number without looking it up so we never give out the number anywhere and we don't get spam calls on it. On my mobile I've blocked international calls and calls from witheld numbers and whenever I get a spam call I add it to the blocked callers list and report the call to the Information Commisioners Office. Every time I get a spam text I forward it to 7726 (SPAM on a keypad with letters) and again report it to the ICO. If everyone did this and more to the point, if idiots would stop buying things from cold callers, they'd stop doing it.

My mobile (A Nokia 630 running the most recent Windows phone software) has an option to block international calls and witheld numbers in the blocked numbers list.

If Nokia are doing it now we can expect most phones to have the option in the next year or so and Apple to launch it with great fanfare as the next revolution in mobile phone technology in about 7 or 8 years time...

ndnc.net which is linked to in the opening post pertains to be the website for the Indian National Do Not Call Registry.

The actual Indian registry is called the National Customer Preference Register, hence the site linked to is probably a scam.

I personally wouldn't risk it but you pays your money, you makes your choices as it were.
