Dementia Strategy

It was reported in the Sussex Express on 29 January that Sussex Health bosses are to launch a strategy tomorrow, 10 February, to make the county a top national and international provider of dementia care. What excellent news!
By coincidence, the House of Commons debated Dementia Services on 27 January with the proposition that the quality of life must be improved for the 700,000 people in the UK with dementia including, of course, those residing in Lewes. More good news!
The disappointing news is that the 60 LibDem MPs at Westminster appear to have been asked by their leadership to abstain from voting at the end of the parliamentary debate which, to me, sends a message demonstrating complete disinterest by the LibDem Party including Norman Baker MP in this important area of healthcare. Quite shameful.

Absolutely Correct Magpie. Shameful and uncaring, especially to all those that have suffered both the emotional and arduous task of providing personal care over many years to an Alzheimer's suffering family member with little to none state support.
It's almost as uncaring as the actions of conservative councillor Matthew Lock
(Hastings - St Helens & Silverhill) who dismissed the views of 11,000 electorate regarding the Newhaven incinerator folly (also dismisses residents views Re; Lewes Parking Scheme).
Now that's uncaring and undemocratic.
So, you are left with the choice of shameful and uncaring Lib/Dem's whose local representatives are crap, shameful and undemocratic Tories and it's mealy mouthed leader who would sell his granny if it got him a vote, or a Labour Gov' who couldn't run a free P*ss up in a brewery for thirsty sailors.
Spoilt for choice aren't we.
Is Miss Whiplash still running as a candidate???
If not she should.
I feel she could do very, very well.
