We are all very good at jumping on the bandwagon and "remembering" and "mourning" those who who have died be it a pop star, soldier or terrorist victim. We feel good when we hastag various events on our social media pages and a certain smugness is evident at memorial concerts, candlelit vigils and the like. Little thought actually goes into these quick and easy displays of so called feeling.
Here is a thought, how about we show some respect and understanding while people are actually alive. How many care homes have old soldiers, old volunteers, people who have worked hard all there lives serving others, left sitting in chairs all day with no one to listen to them?
