The first Monday after the festive break is nicknamed by divorce lawyers as "D" Day, as it is their busiest time for people starting divorce proceedings.
Have any of you started divorce proceedings?
Do you need free impartial advice?
Write to me (here) and I'll try to provide solutions to your problems.

Do not bother with solicitors. Most of the time they are completely pointless. Go to WH Smith and for about £10 you can buy a divorce kit. The only people who gain from divorce are the legal profession and possibly those who have been abused in a marriage or have a dominant spouse / parent. For the relatively amicable divorce; do it yourselves.

Could we use a divorce kit to get rid of that nasty other half called ESCC - NCP?

Dear SHS,
If only we could rid ourselves of NCP by means of a simple divorce kit, but life is not as easy as that. Sometimes in life we have to "place our heads in the lions den" in order to overcome our fears and anxieties. By replacing NCP staff with lewes.co.uk forum users, we could radically change the ethos of the parking regime. Job vacancies are advertised on the ESCC website and I wish everyone good luck with their application.
Tips for a successful interview are,
Wear blue anorak and accessrise your belt by dangling heavy articles from it(maybe a chain too)
Clutch a clipboard to your person throughout interview
Demonstate complete lack of compassion and humour throughout interview
Take the opportunity to mention your lack of friends (confirming that you are fatherless will also score you points).
GOOD LUCK!

Good to see the context-sensitive ads are keeping up with this subject too. Whilst Mystic Mog advises lawyer-free £10 DIY divorce kits from Smiths and Spinster abstinence, Google is pushing us towards the ambulance chasers.
