I was going for a gentle cycle along the road to ringer the other night and I have to say car drivers should be banned from using the road. They were overtaking me with no warning and if I had swerved to miss a pedestrian (pedestrians are know to step in front of cycle around the ringer area) they would have certainly knocked me off. Do cars not come fitted with bells anymore?

Cars are fitted with horns, in order to sound a warning of approach. Drivers are generally reluctant to use them when about to pass acyclist, as the usual response from the cyclist is a rude gesture.
Why were you on the Ringmer road, and not on the adjacent free cycle track (provided for you at great expense by local taxpayers)?

Because I have a road bike, cyclists have full rights to use the road. Even if there's a cycle lane we have full rights to stay out of it and on the highway. Personally I avoid cycle lanes (too many pedestrians).

So Mad pedestrians you were cycling to Ringer the other night. Where the hell is Ringer, is it anywhere near Ringmer.

Car Drivers need to indicate when overtaking cyclists but they just dont do it. Anyone who dosent indicate is a dangerous thoughtless driver. Why cant people use their brains and warn the driver behind them that a cyclist is in thr road.

If you lend someone £20 and don't see them again it was probably worth it.
